A Practical Aspect of Over-Rooftop Multiple-Building Forward Diffraction from a Low Source

چکیده
A practical aspect of over-rooftop multiple-building forward diffraction from a low source is presented, including two formulations and an introduction of their application. In particular, the low-loss formulation for multiple diffraction exposes a factor that can account for strong over-rooftop radio propagation. Both lowand high-loss formulations take the advantages of the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction and physical optics (PO) and have the major advantage of significantly shortening the computing time over existing formulations. They behave well, particularly in and near the transition zone, and are written in explicit forms additionally for soft boundary that corresponds to vertical polarization transmission and reception in the horizontal plane. The application in the vertical plane for the total received signal strength prediction is introduced using the formulations for hard boundary corresponding to vertical polarization transmission and reception.

Formulation of Multiple Diffraction by Trees and Buildings for Radio Propagation Predictions for Local Multipoint Distribution Service
National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-0001 This paper presents a closed-form expression for multiple forward diffraction by rows of tree canopies and buildings applicable to the propagation predictions at centimeter and millimeter wavelengths for local multipoint distribution service (LMDS). The expression is derived from the uniform geometrical theory of diffra...
متن کاملThe effect of building height variation on the multiple diffraction loss component of the Walnsch-Bertoni model
The Walfisch model predicts the average path loss from a conceptualised model of the propagation environment in which propagation is assumed to take place over rows of buildings of equal height and spacing. The propagation loss is then separated into that resulting from free space wavefront spreading, multiple forward-diffraction past the rows of buildings and diffraction over the final rooftop...
متن کاملAN Improved UTD Based Model For The Multiple Building Diffraction Of Plane Waves In Urban Environments By Using Higher Order Diffraction Coeficients
This paper describes an improved model for multiple building diffraction modeling based on the uniform theory of diffraction (UTD). A well-known problem in conventional uniform theory of diffraction (CUTD) is multiple-edge transition zone diffraction. Here, higher order diffracted fields are used in order to improve the result; hence, we use higher order diffraction coefficients to improve a hy...

Purpose: Due to the fact that our country has entered a long period of drought, water supply and optimal use of it, especially in rural areas, have been a priority. The most important objectives of the present research are the feasibility of providing part of the water consumed by the villages through the catchment areas of the basin, which will be carried out through appropriate training and d...
متن کاملAutomatic Buildind Detection from High Resolution Images Based on Multiple Features
Automatic recognition and reconstruction of buildings from aerial and space images is of great practical interest for many of applications such as cartography and photo-interpretation. Building detection is the first and very difficult step in building recognition and reconstruction. It is to find buildings and separating them from the background in the presence of distractions caused by other ...
